Grand Hotel - Nuwara Eliya
Known as Little England, Nuwara Eliya, reminiscent of a quaint country town, is home to Grand Hotel. Dating back to the 1800s, the gracefully stately hotel of Elizabethan style and proportions was once the mansion of Sir Edward Barnes, the former Governor of Sri Lanka. This perfect old fashioned holiday retreat with its sprawling award winning gardens filled with multi hued blooms, has a beautiful view of the majestic mountains that tower in to the sky. The crisp cool air is fresh and invigorating.

The charmingly luxurious rooms with brightly polished timber floors set off with linen of dainty floral design echo of the charm of a bye gone era. But the rooms do not miss the creature comforts one would expect on a luxury holiday. Sumptuous buffet meals, freshly brewed Ceylon tea of exotic flavours and blends, walks in the beautifully laid out gardens, a round of golf are just some of the highlights that you could look forward to. Live it up in Grand style.
The hotel consists of 156 elegantly furnished rooms consisting of Standard Rooms, Deluxe Suites and Presidential Suites overlooking the beautifully landscaped gardens of the hotel.

The Rooms in the new wing of the hotel (Golf Wing) overlooking the golf course. All rooms are equipped with basic but comfortable amenities.
