Our holiday was a wonderful and relaxing experience. The wildlife parks and East Coast beaches were are Beautiful! The chosen hotels were first class and our driver was safe, informed and attentive.

We had several stops including Nuwara Eliya with a visit to a tea plantation, tour of the Yala National Park in a private jeep where we saw elephants and leopard and finally relaxed in Tangalle with a stay in Galle. Our holiday to Sri Lanka in February/March 2019 was organised by Mrs Doris Schokman of Tropical Travel Holidays (Pvt) Ltd. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She had to organise the trip twice as my husband, unfortunately, fell ill the day before we were flying to Sri Lanka for the first time. Mrs Schokman re-arranged the trip for a month later without any fuss, complications or additional expense. My husband and I were truly appreciative of her understanding and assistance during a rather traumatic time for us. We had an outstanding holiday when we finally made it to SL on our second attempt. The organisation was excellent. We could have called Mrs Schokman for assistance at any time but there was no need. We had no complaints on the hotels chosen for us, our particular favourite being the Amaara at Sigiriya. In addition, the locations were ideal for various bird and animal safaris and visits to historic and cultural sites that had been organised. Tharindu, the driver/guide provided, was also excellent. We felt exceedingly safe on Sri Lanka’s rather crowded and perilous roads and he was informative on the many sites visited, particularly in Jaffna, Polonnaruwa and Anuradhapura. My husband is an avid bird-watcher and we had the added bonus of Tharindu being an excellent bird spotter and being very knowledgeable on the different species. That was certainly an unexpected bonus! Overall, it was a great experience and we enjoyed our stay. We intend returning in two years time and have already asked Mrs Schokman if she would be kind enough to make our arrangements again. We have no hesitation in recommending Tropical Travel Holidays for anyone requiring a reliable and outstanding travel company to plan their Sri Lankan vacation.
